AAUK appoints new Interim CEO
Air Ambulances UK (AAUK), a charity that fundraises and campaigns on behalf of the UK air ambulance community, has appointed Lindsay Boswell as its new Interim CEO
Boswell succeeds previous CEO Simmy Akhtar, who resigned from the role in December.
He joins from WeSeeHope, where he was also Interim CEO. He also previously served in the role of Interim CEO at the European Food Banks Federation.
Boswell was also Chief Executive of FareShare between 2010 and 2023, where he oversaw its growth from a small organization of 16 people into a nationally recognized UK charity.
AAUK said that he “brings a wealth of experience and dedication to the role, with over three decades of leadership in the charity sector”.
Boswell said he was “delighted and honored” to join AAUK, adding: “I look forward to working closely with the team, our partners, and the sector to ensure we continue to make a meaningful difference.”
AAUK announced last year that it would receive fundraising support from the Peninsula Group.
