Air Methods orders three more Bell 407GXis
The helicopters will be used to improve response times across the company’s extensive air ambulance network
US-based air ambulance provider Air Methods has signed a purchase agreement for three more Bell 407GXi helicopters to expand its fleet.
The announcement follows the recent delivery of a Bell 429 to the company, as well as the signing of a master purchasing agreement for up to 27 aircraft at this year’s VAI Verticon.
The new aircraft are expected to result in a decrease in response times for Air Methods’ operators, as well as better support to the communities they serve.
“Adding these aircraft to our fleet reinforces our commitment to our patients and delivering lifesaving care to them when minutes matter most,” said Rob Hamilton, CEO of Air Methods. “They represent the core of our 399-aircraft fleet, and we look forward to continuing to build on that foundation.”
