Air Methods signs master purchasing agreement for up to 27 Bell aircraft

At Verticon 2025, Bell Textron announced that Air Methods has signed a master purchasing agreement for up to 27 aircraft, including 15 instrument flight rules (IFR) configured Bell 407GXis, with an option to purchase an additional 12 aircraft in the future. This agreement comes on the heels of Air Methods’ recently signed purchase agreement for a Bell 429.

Air Methods operates 300 bases across 48 states, transporting over 100,000 patients annually and logging more than 150,000 flight hours. The addition of the Bell 407GXis and Bell 429 is expected to help improve response times and enhance support for the communities they serve.

The Bell 429 gives our clinical team the cabin capacity necessary to provide industry-leading specialty care to our patients while also being very reliable.”

Libyan Air Ambulance recently received two Bell 429 helicopters from Bell Textron.
