Two Bell 429s for Libyan Air Ambulance
Libyan Air Ambulance has received two Bell 429 helicopters from manufacturer Bell Textron
The helicopters were supplied by Africair, an authorized Textron sales representative in Africa, with support from sub-dealer United Libya Systems.
The two rotorcraft were ordered in March 2023, and their arrival follows a Bell 505 ordered at the same time, which was delivered in June 2023.
The Bell 429 can carry seven passengers and one pilot in standard configuration, and has a cruise speed of 287km/h, with a range of 689km.
The aircraft are expected to offer improvements to Libyan Air Ambulance’s emergency medical care provision, allowing the service to access those in need in difficult and remote areas.
