Airbus and Skytrac launch real-time Helionix data solution for H135, H145, H160, and H175

A new Airbus line-fit connectivity upgrade is set to give operators real-time access to critical Helionix flight data across multiple helicopter types

Skytrac Systems and Airbus Helicopters have introduced a new line-fit, real-time Helionix alerting solution for the H135, H145, H160, and H175. The system enables operators to receive in-flight operational data, enhancing situational awareness, safety, and operational efficiency across missions including offshore transport and helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS).

Powered by Skytrac’s ISAT-200A, the solution integrates directly with Airbus’ Helionix avionics to transmit real-time data to ground crews via the Iridium network. Operators gain access to key parameters such as usage monitoring system (UMS) exceedances, aircraft position, speed, altitude, one engine operative (OEI) alerts, fuel level alerts, caution panel notifications, and chip detection events. Optional cellular offload after landing streamlines workflows by eliminating manual data retrieval.

The capability allows operators of all four supported Airbus types to meet IOGP 690 standards for offshore operations through seamless real-time UMS transmission. Already field-proven with major H135 and H145 operators, the system reflects Skytrac’s broader focus on delivering mission-critical connectivity solutions. With the ISAT-200A paired with either the DAL-200 or DLS-140, the system provides both satellite and cellular connectivity for comprehensive in-flight and post-flight data transfer.

The launch continues a long-standing partnership between Skytrac and Airbus. Previous collaborations include Skytrac’s selection in 2022 to supply Iridium Certus connectivity for the French H160M Joint Light Helicopter program, and earlier avionics integrations for the H145, H160, H175, and H225. Most recently, Skytrac developed an ISAT-200A and DAL-200 solution for the H135, achieving first factory installation last year.

“We are excited to be able to announce the availability of this solution in partnership with Airbus and highlight how we are committed to providing solutions that benefit the safety of air transport operators in the oil and gas industry and beyond,” said Rodrigo Lima, Director of Business Development of Skytrac. “Our strong partnership and history with Airbus enables us to deliver this solution for H135, H145, H160, and H175 operators, ensuring they have access to the real-time flight data they need to meet regulatory standards and operate effectively in all environments.”
