AirLife Georgia 5 rebrands as Emory Flight 1
The rebrand coincides with the delivery of a new Airbus H145 helicopter to enhance the delivery of air medical services across the US state of Georgia
US-based air ambulance provider Air Methods has announced that its AirLife Georgia 5 service, based in Kennesaw, Georgia, will be rebranded as Emory Flight 1.
The rebrand coincides with the delivery of a new Airbus H145 to support the service.
The Airbus H145 has a cruise speed of 241km/h, a range of 650km, and a maximum endurance of 3hrs 35mins.
“The addition of Emory Flight 1 represents an important investment in how we connect patients to the specialized care they need throughout the region,” said Heather Brooks, Senior Vice President of the Emory Healthcare Capacity Command Center. “As Emory Healthcare continues to expand access to advanced services across Georgia, this aircraft strengthens our ability to rapidly transport critically ill patients, deploy specialty care teams, and support time-sensitive interventions.”
Fellow US air medical provider LifeFlight of Maine recently acquired a Leonardo AW109SP twin-engine helicopter to support its air medical operations.
