Paramedics and first responders are invited to improve their skills and knowledge through a variety of free demonstrations, workshops and CPD-accredited seminars

The Emergency Services Show will take place at the NEC in Birmingham, UK, on 7-8 September 2021. With over 450 exhibiting companies and organizations showcasing the latest advances in everything from ambulances to emergency medical care and protective clothing, there will be numerous opportunities for visitors to handle new kits and access medical expertise.

CPD content will be on offer, including the College of Paramedics workshops and Learning & Development Theatre, where the UK’s largest Air Ambulance charity will explain how it has responded to a change in the type of incidents it has been called to over the pandemic; road traffic collisions have reduced while there has been a significant rise in the number of stabbing, shooting and self-harm incidents. The Health & Wellbeing Seminar Theatre, sponsored by MSA Safety, will cover mental wellness, health and nutrition, workforce diversity, and the latest digital support platforms.

The Extrication and Trauma Challenge hosted by West Midlands Fire Service and judged by the UKRO also returns to the show. Visitors can get close to the action and immerse themselves in the high-intensity atmosphere of a road collision incident. Teams will test their skills in first aid and trauma care, road traffic accident extrication, casualty care, and more. The Emergency Services Show 2021 is free to attend and, for the first time, be co-located with the Safety & Security Event Series; the Health & Safety Event, the Fire Safety Event, the Security Event, the Facilities Event, and the newly launched National Cyber Security Show, creating the UK’s largest event dedicated to the protection of people, places, and assets.
