Blackcomb Helicopters marks 35 years
Canadian aviation provider Blackcomb Helicopters is celebrating its 35th year of operation
The company, founded in 1989, offers a range of services including support for aerial firefighting and search and rescue missions.
Initially operating a single Bell 206 based near Rainbow Mountain, British Columbia, the company was later acquired by MCM Aviation – a joint venture between the McLean Group and Omega Aviation – in 2006.
Since the takeover, Blackcomb has grown rapidly, and now operates a fleet of 20 helicopters based at seven sites in Whistler, Pemberton, Squamish, Lillooet, Calgary, Terrace, and Boundary Bay.
Blackcomb Helicopters also recently announced the appointment of Nick Salisbury to its board of directors.
