Boeing to supply four more MH-139A helicopters to USAF
New order brings the total number of aircraft of that type currently under contract with the Air Force to 38
Boeing has received a contract from the US Air Force (USAF) for four more MH-139A Grey Wolf helicopters.
The MH-139A is based on the Leonardo Helicopters AW139, and is designed for military patrol, search and rescue, and troop and cargo transport missions.
This latest order brings the total number of MH-139A aircraft under contract with the Air Force to 38, of which, to date, 21 have been delivered.
It follows the award of a similar contract worth $173 million for eight rotorcraft of the same type in September 2025.
“The quick succession of contracts demonstrates that USAF is all in on bringing the MH-139A capability to the warfighter as quickly as possible,” said Azeem Khan, Director of the MH-139 Program at Boeing. “Our team is dedicated to delivering and maintaining these aircraft, driven by a commitment to excellence, where safety and quality are our top priorities.”
