A similar approval from the US government is expected in the near future

Boost Systems has been awarded a Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA) supplemental type certificate (STC) for its Airbus H125/AS350/335 Quick Release Cargo Bucket.

The company also confirmed that similar certification from the US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) was pending.

The corrosion-resistant stainless steel basket is capable of carrying up to 500lb (227kg). It can be installed on either side of the aircraft, with a quick release mechanism allowing for rapid installation and removal without the use of tools.

Boost previously received an STC from TCCA to equip the dual hook system on the Bell 205, 212, 412, and Airbus H145 rotorcraft in January of this year.

The company also received similar certification from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to use the system with the H125 in May.
