The kit will be used by the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force to enhance their emergency response operations across East Africa

Aircraft interiors specialist Bucher Leichtbau announced that it has completed the delivery, installation, and commissioning of a new H135 disaster management kit (DMK) on behalf of the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force.

The project was completed in partnership with Jetstream Avia and NAFFCO, and the kit will be used by the Tanzanian emergency response agency to strengthen its operations across East Africa.

The H135 DMK is designed to support a range of mission types, including search and rescue (SAR), aerial firefighting, and disaster response.

Alongside the installation of the DMK, the project also included the provision of training for Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force personnel. As part of this, Bucher Leichtbau provided hands-on instruction covering “system operation, maintenance protocols, and emergency procedures.”

“This installation marks a significant milestone in enhancing Tanzania’s disaster management capabilities,” said Lukas Hollnsteiner, Sales Manager at Bucher Leichtbau. “Our team has worked closely with the Tanzania Fire and Rescue Force to ensure the system meets their specific operational requirements while maintaining the highest safety standards.”

Skytrac Systems has been selected by Alpine Helicopters to provide its ISAT-200A solution as part of a fleet-wide upgrade program.
