Cargolux to acquire firefighting fleet
Luxembourgian cargo airline Cargolux is reportedly looking to purchase a fleet of AT-802F Air Tractor Fire Boss firefighting aircraft
According to a report by Radio Television Luxembourg (RTL), the purchase will cost approximately US$72 million.
The RTL report added that Cargolux is believed to be looking to participate in tenders for firefighting contracts as soon as next year.
Fire Boss – the company that manufactures the firefighting system used to equip the AT-802F – recently received an order for 31 Fire Boss firefighting systems from Air Tractor Europe (ATE).
The government of Slovenia ordered four AT-802F Fire Boss fixed-wing aircraft from manufacturer Air Tractor earlier this year.
