Cargolux receives first two firefighting planes
The company has received two AT-802F Fire Boss fixed-wing aircraft for use by its new firefighting subsidiary
The planes – one single-seater and one two-seater – were delivered to the Luxembourg-based cargo carrier on 22 December 2023.
They are the first of a batch of 12 currently scheduled for delivery, with a combined cost of approximately US$72 million.
The fleet will be operated by Cargolux’s new subsidiary, Aquarius Aerial Firefighting, which plans to participate in tenders across Europe. The company hopes to begin operations later this year.
