Ecocopter to maintain Chilean police helicopters
The company will provide maintenance support to a mixed fleet operated by the Investigations Police of Chile
Ecocopter has been awarded a contract to provide helicopter maintenance services to the Air Police Brigade of the Investigations Police of Chile (PDI).
Under the terms of the contract, the Chilean aviation services provider – which was acquired by Brazilian firm Helisul last year – will maintain the PDI’s fleet of Airbus AS350 B3 and EC135 T2 helicopters for the next two years.
The contract will ensure the Air Police Brigade’s operational continuity and optimal availability, and includes both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, covering a projected total of around 1,800 flight hours during the contracted period.
“We proudly assume the responsibility of supporting a key institution for the country in its air operations,” said Hernán Leiva, Maintenance Manager at Ecocopter. “We are committed to ensuring that every aircraft in the Air Police Brigade operates in optimal condition because we understand that behind every flight are missions critical to the safety and security of people and the country.”
