Enterprise Control Systems launches ECS Connect
Designed for defense, security, and public safety operators, the data link network manager ensures continuous, intelligent data links across air, land, and sea platforms
Enterprise Control Systems (ECS), a UK-based radio frequency (RF) technology specialist and part of SPX Communication Technologies, has launched ECS Connect – an intelligent data link network manager designed to transform how mission-critical communications are managed across air, land, and sea domains.
The solution builds on ECS’s established Tactical Data Link portfolio, which enables police, military, border guard, intelligence, security, and search and rescue organizations to conduct effective airborne intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) operations. The company has more than 30 years of experience supporting defense, security, and public safety organizations worldwide.
ECS Connect automatically selects and switches between communication protocols, including COFDM, satcom, LTE, cellular, and mesh, to maintain continuous and reliable transmission of video, audio, and data between air, land, and sea platforms. The system optimizes connectivity based on signal strength, geography, and mission parameters, so that users should always have access to the most effective and economical channel.
In rapidly changing operational environments – from border surveillance to ISR missions – ECS Connect reduces operator workload by automating complex link management.
David Robins, Business Development Director for Data Links at ECS, commented: “ECS Connect represents a significant step forward in data link technology. We’re enabling customers to move beyond single-solution systems towards a smarter, more adaptive approach to airborne and ground-based communication. ECS Connect is the first step in that journey, delivering the next generation of intelligent, resilient, reliable, any-mission-ready data links.”
Ludovic Seixo, Sales Manager at SORRAC, a specialist in radiocommunication systems for security, defense, and intelligence applications based in France, added: “We’re seeing growing demand for secure, real-time data transfer between air and ground, especially as nations seek to strengthen their situational awareness and border security. ECS Connect will deliver for customers because it brings reliability, flexibility, and automation together to maintain critical communications even in the most demanding operational conditions.”
