Entrol provides S-64 simulator to the Korea Forest Service
Entrol has announced the sale and impending delivery of a new S-64 Level 6 flight training device (FTD) to the Korea Forest Service
The simulator, scheduled for installation before the end of 2026, will support the operations of the Korea Forest Aviation Headquarters (KFAH), which uses Sikorsky S-64E Skycranes to support its aerial firefighting operations.
KFAH, part of the Korea Forest Service, operates a fleet of 50 helicopters across 12 bases across South Korea.
The simulator is equipped with Entrol’s advanced control loading system, as well as two Garmin GTN 750Xi avionics systems, to ensure maximum simulation accuracy and aircraft familiarization.
It also features a vibration system, initial night vision imaging system (NVIS) capabilities, and a debriefing station for post-mission analysis, as well as modules for firefighting, external cargo operations, and water collection and deployment.
The project was developed in collaboration with Entrol’s official agent in Korea, JINONE Heli-Support, which assisted in tailoring the simulator to meet the operational and environmental needs of KFAH.
Entrol also recently announced the sale of a new H145 simulator to Search and Rescue Services Limited (SRSL).
