HeliSpeed and NHV Group partner to deliver maintenance training
The collaboration aims to enhance the accessibility and quality of helicopter maintenance education
Leveraging HeliSpeed and NHV’s Part 147 approval, covering both European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) and UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) standards, the partnership will offer trainees an expanded scope with B1.3, B2, and B2 differences on the AW139 helicopter variant.
HeliSpeed and NHV Group seek to offer accessible and bespoke solutions when it comes to learning. According to the companies, the collaboration provides flexible learning methods, including the option for distance learning based on customer requests. Alongside the flexible training, helicopter airframes will be utilized during practical courses at NHV’s bases in Norwich and Blackpool.
Brian Hopkinson, Part 147 Training Manager at HeliSpeed, commented: “We are thrilled to partner with NHV to deliver cutting-edge helicopter maintenance training … This collaboration allows us to combine our expertise and resources to offer comprehensive, high-quality training.”
Frédéric Matton, NHV Academy Training Manager, added: “The high-level expertise of HeliSpeed will enhance our AW139 type course capabilities. It’s an important step to offer both EASA and UK CAA customers with flexible solutions for this key helicopter type.”
The first course will take place from 27 May to 5 July.
Last year, HeliSpeed announced the signing of a strategic training agreement with Hongik Air South Korea, a helicopter operator and training provider in Asia.
