Jharkhand launches air ambulance service
The government of the Indian state of Jharkhand now offers air ambulance services – the service launched on 28 April
The aim of the service is to provide accessibly priced air transfers between the state of Jharkhand and cities in other Indian states, including Banaras, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Tirupati.
In addition to flying from Ranchi, aircraft will also be available from other airports in the state, including Deoghar, Dhanbad, Dumka, Giridih, and Jamshedpur.
Aircraft will reportedly be available with three hours’ notice, and flights will cost between ₹330,000 (US$4,030) and ₹800,000 ($9,769).
Indian emergency medical response platform RED.Health also recently launched a new air ambulance service, called RED AIR Guardian, last month.
