Lia’s Wings appoints new CEO
The air ambulance charity has appointed Nathalie Scott to guide the organization through its next phase of growth and expanding demand
The UK’s specialist children’s air transfer charity, Lia’s Wings, which provides lifesaving air transfers for children by plane within the UK and overseas, has announced the onboarding of Nathalie Scott as Chief Executive Officer. Scott will be focused on growing the service to meet UK and international demand.
Following significant growth under her leadership, previous CEO Charlotte Young will step into a new role as Chief Operating Officer, leading the service provided to families and focusing fully on the growing demands for family support.
Scott is a passionate and experienced charity leader, committed to making a meaningful difference. She has a wealth of experience within the sector, having worked with numerous key charitable causes and political groups.
Lia’s Wings Chair Dean Gillespie said: “We are thrilled that we’ve been able to appoint someone of Nathalie’s caliber to lead us through the next period of growth for our critical UK service. Lia’s Wings ensures that any UK child can always get back home to NHS care wherever a life-threatening incident strikes around the world. Nathalie’s leadership will see us grow even faster, meeting all demand, and allowing us to help more families than ever before.”
Commenting on her appointment, Scott said: “It is an incredible privilege to join Lia’s Wings as Chief Executive. The charity’s mission – to deliver air transfers for children both in the UK and overseas – is life-changing. I am so pleased to be joining such a compassionate and motivated team and look forward to leading them to grow our services, deepen our impact and to ensure we can help every child and family that needs us.”
Lia’s Wings recently announced the opening of a new base of operations at London Biggin Hill Airport.
