Life Flight acquires two Bell 407 GXis
The air ambulance provider will also receive a new Bell 429 in December
US not-for-profit air ambulance operator Life Flight Network has received two additional Bell 407 GXi helicopters from Bell Textron.
The operator is also expecting to receive a Bell 429 from the manufacturer in December of this year.
With the new aircraft, Life Flight Network will have a total fleet of five 429s and 27 407 GX-series emergency medical helicopters.
Life Flight – established in 1978 – operates emergency medical services from 29 rotorcraft bases and 10 fixed-wing bases across the US states of Idaho, Oregon, Montana, and Washington. It is the largest air medical operator of Bell helicopters in the Pacific Northwest and Intermountain West regions.
The operator opened a new base at Bowerman Airport in Washington in July of this year.
