LPD receives donation for new drone

The police department of Lima, Ohio, has received a donation of $3,000 to support the purchase of a new drone
The aircraft will be used to support operations such as searching for missing persons and managing public events.
It is currently unknown what type of drone the Lima Police Department plans to acquire. The police of Burlington, Massachusetts, announced that they were seeking to purchase their own new drone earlier this year – a DJI Matrice 30T, at a cost of $16,856.
The money was donated by the Fraternal Order of Eagles #370, a charitable non-profit organization. The Order’s local Vice President, Jim Fair said: “The donation is very important to us. We are proud to do it for our first responders in the county.”
