New H145 for ARCH Air Medical
The new aircraft will enhance the operator’s services across the US states of Illinois and Missouri
ARCH Air Medical, a subsidiary of air medical provider Air Methods, has acquired a new Airbus H145 helicopter to replace its aging BK117.
The twin-engine helicopter offers a number of upgrades, including better avionics and a more spacious cabin, and is expected to significantly improve the organization’s ability to deliver lifesaving care across the St Louis region in Illinois and Missouri.
The aircraft will be fitted with a range of equipment to support a range of medical missions, including the provision of care for trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatric, neonatal, high-risk obstetrics, and other critical patients.
“This new aircraft allows our skilled pilots and clinicians to provide the same industry-leading critical care that our partners and patients have come to expect,” said Scott Meyers, Area Manager at ARCH Air Medical. “The flexibility of the H145 will give ARCH 1 the ability to handle nearly any transport that they need to provide.”
Air Methods also recently signed a purchase agreement for three more Bell 407GXi helicopters.
