New helicopter for HALO-Flight
The Bell 407GXi is the fifth of its type to be delivered to the operator, based in the US state of Texas, as part of its fleet renewal program
Bell Textron has delivered a new Bell 407GXi helicopter to HALO-Flight, an air ambulance operator based in southern Texas.
The aircraft, equipped for instrument flight rules (IFR) operations, is the fifth and final one of its type to be delivered to HALO-Flight as part of the nonprofit air medical provider’s fleet renewal.
The 407GXi is capable of speeds of 246km/h, and has a range of 624km. It is also equipped with a health and usage monitoring system (HUMS) supplied by GPMS International.
“For more than three decades, HALO-Flight has been a vital lifeline for patients in need of urgent medical care,” said Lane Evans, Managing Director for North America Sales at Bell. “We are proud to continue supporting their mission with aircraft that embody reliability, safety, and performance.”
Global Medical Response (GMR) also acquired a Bell 407GXi earlier this year.
