New Operations Director appointed at Sloane Helicopters
Mark Abbey brings over 40 years of aviation experience to the role
Sloane Helicopters has announced the appointment of Mark Abbey as Operations Director.
This role entails overseeing all operational areas of the company, including maintenance, Part M, logistics, flight operations and flight training.
Before joining Sloane, Abbey was the CEO and Regional Director of CHC EMEA, the most recent role in his 40-year aviation career. He started his career as an Engineering Apprentice at BAE Systems, before progressing to executive positions, such as Managing Director for Hampson Aerospace plc.
His varied career has allowed Abbey to gain a solid technical background, as well as operational and managerial experience.
He said: “I am excited to be joining such a multifaceted company as Sloane. With over 50 years of outstanding services built on trust, expertise and safety, I look forward to commencing my role as the Operations Director, working toward growth and increased resilience for Sloane.”

Sloane won the contract to supply two EMS helicopters to the Children’s Air Ambulance in the UK.
