Norway expands NH90 SAR fleet to include maritime operations
Nova Systems Norway has been awarded a two-year, US$15 million framework contract by the Norwegian Armed Forces to support the NH90 maritime helicopter programme
“We want to help build indigenous capability for Norway both in terms of operational delivery and procurement support structures,” said Simon Sparkes, Nova Norway Chief Operating Officer.
Nova’s expert team of operators, engineers and software specialists will primarily focus on the development and introduction to service of the Anti-Submarine (NFH) variant of the NH90. The NFH variant is being introduced to support Nova Norway’s strategic requirement to effectively police and protect its territorial waters from current and future threats.
Nova will work alongside the Royal Norwegian Air Force and Royal Norwegian navy to provide specialist maritime helicopter expertise.
