Optima Aero to acquire Uniflight Grand Prairie site
Optima Aero has entered an agreement with Uniflight Global to buy the company’s assets in Grand Prairie, Texas
The deal will support Optima Aero’s international expansion. The company, which specializes in the supply of refurbished helicopter parts and engines, will establish a subsidiary – Optima Aero USA – to run its Grand Prairie operations.
The acquisition will also allow Optima Aero to build its service offering, providing maintenance services and complementary solutions for aircraft from manufacturers such as Airbus, Leonardo, Bell, and Sikorsky.
“The establishment of Optima Aero USA opens up new business opportunities and promotes our growth in the North American market,” said Toby Gauld, President and Founder of Optima Aero. “With increased capacity and an expanded range of services, we are well positioned to meet the growing needs of our customers. We intend to invest in the development of this 30,000-square-foot center of excellence, specializing in helicopter maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) and components.”
Leonardo opened a new helicopter MRO center at Paris Le Bourget Airport last year.
