Black Hawk Poland

Aerospace manufacturer PZL Mielec, a subsidiary of Lockheed Martin, has completed deliveries of a fleet of S-70i Black Hawks to the Polish military

The deliveries conclude a contract for four S-70is signed in December 2021.

The Black Hawk is a multi-role helicopter that can be tasked with a range of different mission types, including personnel transport, medical evacuation (medevac), and search and rescue (SAR).

The two new Black Hawks bring the Polish Armed Forces’ fleet of this type to eight aircraft.

The four other helicopters operated by the Polish military were delivered under a separate contract signed in January 2019.

The government of Romania recently placed an order with PZL Mielec for an additional S-70 Black Hawk earlier this year.
