Reiser and TRU Simulation launch VR training for Airbus H125

A new virtual reality simulator for the Airbus H125 delivers Level D realism and fully immersive helicopter training to pilots worldwide

Reiser has introduced a training solution for the Airbus H125 helicopter using the Veris Virtual Reality (VR) Flight Simulator, developed in collaboration with TRU Simulation + Training. This simulator provides a platform for immersive pilot instruction, combining detailed aircraft modeling with advanced VR technology.

Built on TRU Simulation’s Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Level 7-qualified Veris platform, the Veris H125 incorporates Reiser’s flight controls, panels, and H125 simulation model, which is also used in Level D full flight simulators (FFS). By integrating Reiser’s expertise in the H125 with TRU Simulation’s VR capabilities, the system enables realistic flight experiences that support certified helicopter training.

To enhance realism, the Veris H125 employs TRU Simulation’s REALvision Image Generator, adapted for VR, to create detailed visual environments. A fully electric six-degrees-of-freedom motion base provides accurate flight cues and vibrations, while the REALFeel control loading system mirrors Level D FFS technologies. Pilots can interact with cockpit switches and avionics as they would in the actual H125, and a VR headset replaces the traditional visual system to complete the immersive training experience.

Reiser and Leonardo recently announced a collaboration to co-develop a new-generation AW139 helicopter simulator.
