Reiser showcases mixed reality H145 D3 simulator
Reiser and Varjo collaborated on the creation of the mixed reality H145 flight simulator
Reiser Simulation and Training has received pre-qualification from the German Federal Aviation Office (LBA) for its new mixed reality Airbus H145 D3 helicopter simulator.
The simulator, developed in collaboration with Finnish virtual and augmented reality headset manufacturer Varjo, combines a full-scale haptic cockpit with two fully instrumented crew stations.
The device will allow both the pilot and co-pilot to practice standard operating procedures, checklist flows, crew resource management, and mutual cross checks in fully immersive scenarios.
Full flight training device (FTD) Level 3 certification is expected early next year, following completion of the required flight simulation training device organization (FSTDO) qualification process.
BlueRoom Simulations recently introduced a new Airbus H175 environment to its BlueRoom Mixed Reality (MR) Aeromedical Simulator.
