SKYTRAC and corpuls announce successful testing of real-time medical data transfer
Transfer achieved through satellite communications (satcom) and cellular connectivity
SKYTRAC, a global satcom and intelligent connectivity solutions company, has successfully tested real-time medical data transfer through satellite communications and cellular connectivity with corpuls, a manufacturer of robust, sophisticated, preclinical patient monitoring systems, defibrillators, chest compression devices and software products.
The latest innovation from corpuls, the MIL-STD-810G and DO-160G certified corpuls3 Touch, is a three-on-one medical device incorporating a monitor unit, patient box and defibrillator/pacemaker. It allows for the continuous monitoring of critical patients from the incident site to the hospital and is leveraged by air medical operators globally.

The corpuls3 device can stream real-time patient data, with SKYTRAC’s intelligent connectivity capability, with 99.9 per cent uptime reliability. There is resilient satcom in remote locations where cellular connectivity is unable, as it can dynamically switch to cellular networks when 4G or LTE is in range.
