Tabula partners with Arauco to supply aerial firefighting software
The solution will allow Arauco to track its aerial firefighting assets when tackling wildfire situations in Chile
Software solutions developer Tabula has announced that it will supply its FireVision GPS-based, real-time aerial firefighting asset management system to Chilean forestry company Arauco.
The solution will be used by Arauco to enhance the protection of its forestry assets during wildfire events, and will be deployed across both its rotary- and fixed-wing aircraft.
The system allows pilots and operations managers to view retardant drops in near real time, monitor aircraft movements, and share critical information instantly across the fleet, facilitating a more data-driven picture of firefighting activity.
“As wildfire conditions become increasingly complex, situational awareness is essential,” said Ramón Figueroa, Deputy Manager of Fire Protection at Arauco. “FireVision equips Arauco’s aerial teams with the tools to see what’s happening as it unfolds, make informed decisions faster, and coordinate their response with greater confidence.”
Aerospace firm General Atomics AeroTec Systems (GA-ATS) recently announced a new sensor for its Do228 NXT fixed-wing aircraft to support special missions operations.
