Teledyne FLIR OEM partners with ACSL
The two companies will integrate their technology to enhance ACSL’s SOTEN public security and disaster response drone
Teledyne FLIR OEM, part of Teledyne Technologies, has announced a partnership with Japanese drone manufacturer ACSL.
The initiative will support the integration of Teledyne FLIR OEM thermal camera modules into ACSL drones, as well as the provision of “go-to-market support” for the resulting products.
In particular, ACSL’s SAMO thermal payload will incorporate FLIR’s MSX Multi-Spectral Dynamic Imaging technology, which embosses visual data to deliver enhanced, detail-rich thermal imagery in real time.
The upgraded SAMO payload will be used to improve ACSL’s flagship SOTEN drone model, which is designed for public safety, disaster response, inspection, and surveying applications.
“ACSL’s rapid innovation is impressive, and we’re excited to continue ongoing collaboration on next-generation drone payloads featuring our latest thermal camera modules and Prism ISP features,” said Mike Walters, Vice President of Product Development at Teledyne FLIR OEM.
Teledyne FLIR Defense was awarded a US$74 million contract to modernize US Coast Guard surveillance systems earlier this year.
