Ten new Airbus H125s for US Customs and Border Protection
The helicopters will be used to strengthen the agency’s aerial capabilities, and support law enforcement and border security missions
US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has placed an order for 10 Airbus H125s, for use by its Air and Marine Operations (AMO) division.
The aircraft will be used to support law enforcement, border security, and public safety across the USA.
The rotorcraft will be manufactured at Airbus’s facility in Columbus, Mississippi, and will feature dual-channel full-authority digital engine control (FADEC), an engine data recorder, and a dual hydraulic flight control system.
The new acquisition further strengthens CBP AMO’s operational capabilities, and advances its fleet modernization goals.
Nigerian healthcare provider Kasi Healthcare recently partnered Airbus to operate helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) in Nigeria.
