Trakka Systems deploys TLX searchlights on five Italian Carabinieri AW169 helicopters

Carabinieri AW169 with TrakkaBeam

The company has announced the successful deployment of its TrakkaBeam TLX high-intensity searchlight on the helicopters used by the Italian national police force

The Carabinieri have received five AW169Ms equipped with searchlightswith the option for 11 additional helicopters in the same configuration.

The TrakkaBeam searchlights provide added value in performance and versatility for the nighttime operations of the Carabinieri, including search and rescue, surveillance, and crime prevention. The searchlight provides 22,000 lumens of white light, capable of illuminating large areas. It is compact and lightweight, and is easily integrated onto various helicopter platforms, minimizing drag and maximizing efficiency, making the systems ideal for multi-mission performance.

Fabio Presicce, Vice President of Business Development Europe at Trakka Systems, said: “We are incredibly proud to have partnered with Leonardo to equip the Carabinieri helicopters with our cutting-edge TrakkaBeam TLX searchlight.” He continued: “This deployment milestone underscores our commitment to providing law enforcement agencies with the most advanced technology available to enhance their operational effectiveness and ensure the safety of their personnel and communities.”

Trakka have also partnered with American law enforcement agencies to enhance search capabilities in Arizona.
