Adam McCarthy, a Coast Guard Air Station Kodiak pilot, speaks about his experience aboard the HC-130 Hercules aircraft both as an enlisted member and commissioned officer at Base Kodiak, Alaska.. McCarthy and many other Coast Guard members are saying goodbye to the H-model as it is gradually being replaced with the upgraded J-model aircraft throughout the fleet.
