Michael Powell, previously of Isolair, will bring his expertise in the aerial firefighting equipment sector to the role

US-based aerial firefighting equipment manufacturer Wyoming Bucket has announced the appointment of Michael Powell as both President and a member of its board of directors.

The appointment, effective immediately, was announced by Ed Keller, Founder and CEO of Wyoming Bucket, who stated that Powell “brings a rare combination of deep industry experience, operational leadership, and strategic insight”.

Powell formerly led Isolair, a company that also produces aerial firefighting equipment, which he successfully built and sold. He has experience in manufacturing operations, product development, and scaling companies serving the aviation and public safety markets.

He also has experience providing consulting services to the helicopter industry, with a focus on manufacturing systems, operational efficiency, and firefighting equipment solutions.

The appointment follows the recent completion of prototype testing for Wyoming Bucket’s new advanced long-line helicopter water bucket system. The company has stated that it is now focused on scaling the manufacturing of the product, establishing strategic industry partnerships, and bringing its product to market.

Keller added: “[Powell’s] proven track record in manufacturing and his extensive background in the helicopter firefighting sector position him to play a key role as we transition from prototype validation to commercial production and market expansion.”

Spectrum Aeromed also recently appointed a new President – Shannon Schell.
