Ansat helicopter medical module in development
Russian Helicopters and Air Ambulance Technology have signed a co-operation agreement on the joint development and certification of a medical module for Ansat helicopters
Signed by Director General of Russian Helicopters Andrey Boginsky and Director of Air Ambulance Technology Nicole Kuntner-Hudson, the contract is for delivery of 20 twin engine aircraft for the Chinese Emergency and Disaster Relief Association at the Air Show China 2018, with deliveries scheduled during 2019-2020.
Ansat has the largest cabin within its class – the helicopter is actively used by the Russian air medical services and can also be used for passenger and VIP transport, cargo delivery and environmental monitoring. High-altitude tests of the type have been successfully completed confirming potential operations in mountainous terrain at altitudes of up to 3,500 m.
"We are pleased to announce the start of co-operation with Air Ambulance Technology and we hope that this will be long-term and fruitful work. Creation of the new medical module which meets international standards for medical aviation will allow the holding company to expand the pool of potential customers, including European companies. We expect that installation of such equipment will help Ansat get a certificate of the European Union Aviation Safety Agency,” said Andrey Boginsky after the signing ceremony.
