At European Rotors 2025 (booth 1232), FlySight will showcase its latest advances in mission coordination technology – centered on the OPENSIGHT Mission Console – and demonstrate how law enforcement, maritime / coast guard, search and rescue (SAR) and firefighting operators can achieve step-changes in situational awareness, interoperability, and mission success.
PRESENTATION AT THE BOOTH
Visitors to booth 1232 can experience three live, interactive simulator systems driven by OPENSIGHT. Two simulators represent two different helicopters operating over the same operational area; each is equipped with distinct onboard sensor devices, yet both seamlessly collaborate via OPENSIGHT Mission Console. Operators in each cockpit see the same shared tactical layers in real time, enabling mission-level synchronization. A third simulator is a standalone OPENSIGHT Mission Console linked to a gimbal, focused on maritime and firefighting use cases – demonstrating live data processing: mapping in real time, rescue operations, area measurement, and situational awareness over sea and sky.
These demonstrations underscore OPENSIGHT’s core promise: integrated, real-time, multi-platform collaboration on a unified operational picture.
THE OPENSIGHT MISSION CONSOLE: A FORCE MULTIPLIER ACROSS DOMAINS
OPENSIGHT is a modular, flexible mission console architecture that fuses, overlays, and visualizes data from multiple sensors, platforms, and intelligence sources. In mission environments where time and clarity are critical, OPENSIGHT elevates situational awareness via three layers:
1. Perception – ingesting real-time telemetry, electro-optical/infrared (EO/ IR) feeds, radar, automatic identification system (AIS), weather, and more
2.Comprehension – correlating and interpreting those data streams to produce a cohesive understanding of current conditions and threats
3.Projection – enabling operators to anticipate future states, potential hazards, or mission outcomes.
Through augmented reality (AR)-style layering of information, OPENSIGHT turns raw data into intuitive visualizations that support rapid decision-making and coordinated response.
BENEFITS FOR LAW ENFORCEMENT
For law enforcement missions (such as covert surveillance, border patrol, counter smuggling), the ability to share a unified tactical display across airborne assets and command centers is transformational. Helicopters operating in coordinated missions can synchronize maneuvers, combine sensor footprints, deconflict routes, and maintain a shared operational picture with command teams in real time, reducing latency, miscommunication, and ‘blind spots’. SAR AND FIREFIGHTING MISSIONS
In SAR and aerial firefighting operations, rapid and accurate situational awareness is essential. OPENSIGHT fuses thermal, multispectral, EO, and geospatial data into a dynamic 3D environment, giving crews a clearer understanding of evolving conditions – whether locating survivors, identifying hotspots, or assessing fire spread. By visualizing mission data in context, it supports safer route planning, better coordination between aircraft, and more informed tactical decisions.
On the booth, a live gimbal-connected demonstration will illustrate how OPENSIGHT integrates multiple sensor streams, enhances perception through smoke or haze, and provides mission-layer overlays that improve spatial understanding and operational clarity.
