Global Medical Response orders seven Bell 429s
The helicopters will be used to support the US-based operator’s helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operations
Global Medical Response (GMR) has placed an order for seven more Bell 429s with manufacturer Bell Textron, with an option to purchase an additional eight.
The helicopters will join GMR’s HEMS fleet, which operates from 381 bases across the USA.
The announcement follows from the delivery of the first of a fleet of 24 Bell 407GXi helicopters, as part of a contract signed by GMR in 2024.
“We’re excited to add this airframe to our GMR communities starting in the spring of 2026,” said Daniel Sweeza, National President of Air Operations for GMR. “Adding the Bell 429 to our fleet will allow us to expand access to care to patients who need it. It also allows us to meet the requests of our healthcare partners, who have been asking for the flexibility the Bell 429 provides.”
