St Joseph Health acquires new H135
Texas-based healthcare provider St Joseph Health has received a new Airbus H135 for use by its Air Med 12 air ambulance team
The aircraft, built earlier this year and registered as N232AH, was acquired in partnership with air medical provider Med-Trans Corporation, and will provide emergency medical response services to the Brazos Valley and surrounding areas.
The aircraft will also be able to perform long-distance transfers, and support rescue efforts during natural disasters.
St Joseph Health previously replaced an elderly Bell 407 with an Airbus EC135 P2+ – registered as N388PH – in 2019. That aircraft was produced in 2008. It also operates another Bell 407 built in 2007, registered as N429PH.
The company is also reportedly planning to add another helicopter to its fleet in September, according to a report by local broadcaster KBTX.
Wisconsin-based healthcare provider Aspirus Health also acquired a new Airbus H135 helicopter in late 2022.
