ASU Heli Austria NVG

The company has agreed to purchase 10 sets of E3 night vision goggles from manufacturer Aviation Specialties Unlimited (ASU)

The goggles will be used by Heli Austria to support its Austrian helicopter emergency medical services (HEMS) operations.

The company will be the first in Austria to use the new E3 goggles, – with the first sets of NVGs expected to be delivered in early 2024.

In addition to supplying the equipment, ASU will also provide maintenance support for the first two years.

Heli Austria has eight bases in its home country, and flies more than 5,000 rescue missions per year.

ASU also recently finalized a contract with Skytec, a Norwegian helicopter service center, to supply 14 sets of NVGs and five helicopter interiors for use by Norwegian Air Ambulance.
