SAF Hélicoptères acquires two H145s
The helicopters will provide emergency air ambulance services in Catalonia, Spain
Rotortrade has announced the sale and delivery of two Airbus H145 D3s to SAF Hélicoptères.
The helicopters are being used to perform emergency medical service (EMS) missions in the Spanish autonomous community of Catalonia, under a new contract with Sistema d'Emergències Mèdiques (SEM).
The transaction for SAF to acquire the two rotorcraft began in February 2025, and was finalized in July.
The aircraft are now stationed at SAF’s bases in Tremp and Sabadell, and entered operational service in August.
“These two new H145 D3s are key additions to our fleet and will allow us to kick off our emergency medical operations in Catalonia,” said Thibault Nicodème, Co-CEO of SAF Aerogroup. “The professionalism and responsiveness of the Rotortrade team were instrumental in ensuring we could meet our contract start date in a very short time frame.”
Infracapital entered into talks to acquire SAF Aerogroup earlier this year.
