New Western Australia CEO for RFDS
Australia’s Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) has appointed Judith Barker as CEO for its Western Operations, bringing 25 years of experience in the health and emergency sector
The new role commences from mid-October, and she will be moving to Western Australia (WA) from the Northern Territory (NT), having served as CEO of St John NT for the past four years.
Barker also worked with the South Australian Ambulance Service, in roles such as Chief Operating Officer and Director of Service Performance and Improvement.
She holds a Master’s degree in Business Administration, alongside university qualifications in Health Science.
RFDS Western Operations Board Chair, Sam Walsh, said Ms Barker had a ‘great depth of experience, knowledge and skill that would benefit the strategic priorities and future direction of the service’.
“The RFDS is going through an exciting period of growth and innovation in WA. Judith’s proven ability to make positive change and lead service organisations with passion and integrity made her an excellent choice for the role. She has extensive experience in managing complex projects and programs, and building productive stakeholder connections,” he added.
